My Career Objective

New media marketing (NMM) career in web-based service industry performing strategic integrative marketing communication to grow industry’s user community.

Particularly interested in and familiar with all kinds of UGC (User-generated Content) websites and social media platforms, including but not limited to Weibo, Tumblr, Facebook, Quora, Reddit, Zhihu, Douban, Mafengwo, Qyer, Tripadvisor, Baidu Tieba, and Lofter.

My Understanding of NMM

I believe new media marketing (NMM) is the process that can make small things large.

The development of Internet technologies highlights the importance of maneuvering various modes of marketing to achieve brand positioning. Unlike the traditional advertising industry where off-line promotion agencies and digital marketing agencies function separately, NMM provides the mean to combine the two and uses cost-effective on-line advertising to stimulate off-line consumer participation. This will convert into buying behavior and eventually bring in revenue.

Therefore, in the age of digital earth, NMM is essential to any types of business.

My Advantages

As a language student, my academic knowledge enables me to see NMM from the perspective of effective communication where the abilities of delivering creative, persuasive and consistent messages are concerned.

Beyond school work, I also have hands-on experiences of managing corporation's official WeChat account and self developing Weibo food recommending platform with more than 5000 followers.

My leadership in leading the organizing work for an international committee with around 1000 guests and a local community educational program with more than 400 participants also proves that I have the potential of being good social media project leader.
